About the Library Board
The Library board is responsible for establishing the mission and vision of the library, determining the policies implemented by the library, hiring and evaluating the library director, advocating for the library, and overseeing the library's finances.
All board positions are volunteer and appointed by the Wahpeton City Council for a three year term. Members must be Wahpeton residents, but one county resident is allowed. Members can serve two consecutive terms.

Board Meetings
The Library Board meets the 4th Thursday of the month at 4 PM in the Story Time Room. Meetings are open to the public. Dates are subject to change due to holidays, pandemic issues, and inclement weather.
